June 26th Worhip Services

Title:  Living Stones in a Spiritual House
Scripture: 1 Peter 2

Pastor Sawyer's sermon at the morning worship service expounded upon Christ as the cornerstone of God's spiritual house, the church, and how its occupants are "a royal priesthood, a holy nation" with the purpose of building on that foundation to be united to Christ.  For a recording of this week's sermon, contact the church secretary.

This evening's sermon is entitled "How to Inherit a Blessing" and will focus on 1 Peter 3.  We would love to have you join us.

Wednesday Night Meditations

On Wednesday the 19th, members of Pineville Presbyterian Church met together for a good meal (graciously prepared by our choir directress,) as well as singing hymns to God and Bible study. The study was conducted by elder David Barnard, who taught on Luke 18:9-14. Dr. Barnard was gracious enough to provide us with a short outline.

The Pharisee and the Publican

How is a Pharisee identified?

What are the contrasts between the two prayers?

Should Christians ever pray the Publican's prayer?

The meeting was concluded with prayer after requests were taken down.
